User Training

Next to the information provided in the present wiki, the UG Digital Competence Centre (DCC) provides separate training sessions for the usage of the RDMS in collaboration with the RDMS support.

For an overview of planned RDMS user training, please have a look at the event calendar of the DCC.

Upon request, it is also possible to request additional training sessions outside of the DCC schedule. If you are interested in additional training sessions for your research group, please contact us.

The following training materials are currently openly available:

• RDMS CLI Workshop: This Gitlab repository hosts the training material for the RDMS workshop for CLI users. You can use this material to become familiar with the CLI-based handling of the RDMS using the iCommands package. We also include a separate section that explains how the RDMS can be used in combination with an HPC environment (e.g. Hábrók).
• RDMS First Time Users Workshop: This PDF document contains the slides used for the “Research Data Management System (RDMS) for First-Time Users” which was first given on 15.01.2024 as a collaboration between UG DCC and RDMS support team. The target group are first-time RDMS users that are not primarily using the CLI to access the system, but instead focuses on the RDMS web interface and its functions.
