UG/UMCG launched in 2018 a long-term project to develop a Research Data Management System (centralized and serviced by CIT) that is of use to researchers (UG and UMCG). The project team is working with researchers and uses their input to define needs and requirements.

In this stage of the development we make use of six pilot users and user-groups. To asses their needs for data storage and archiving and maybe to extend the RDMS with triggers for action to process data on a different platform or to automatically ingest data from a different source.

The plan is to introduce the RDMS as a regular service in September 2021. Then we will offer proper support to all users who are interested in using the RDMS. The further development of the RDMS will remain; we will extend the functionalities of the RDMS during the use of this platform.

The development of the RDMS is an ongoing process. With the release at the end of March 2021 a Graphical User Interface (GUI) was added.

This wiki tries to describe the functionality of this GUI, but is by no means exhaustive. We are working on a complete manual and this wiki will provide you with an oversight of the current functionalities.
