Data in the RDMS

In the RDMS we use these concepts about data storage within the RDMS:

• Home Drive: your personal data storage space in the RDMS.
• Group Drive: a shared drive and no data life cycle policies.
• Project: research data storage, collaboration, data life cycle, archiving and data policies.

We support access to the RDMS via the Web App, WebDAV and the command line or iCommands. The Web App was specifically written for the management of RDMS projects as well as for easy user management.

In the RDMS it is possible to change permissions and inheritance of rights, share files and folders. These tasks can be performed within the Web App, or via the command line using iCommands.

On the basis of our testing, we provide extensive information about uploading files and the preferred file transfer options.
