Sharing files and folders

Files stored in your Home folder are only accessible by the owner. But it is possible to share folders from your home drive by making a shared link.

How to make a shared link in the RDMS:

• Open the WebApp of RDMS: https://research.web.rug.nl/rdmswebapp
• Select the folder; click right and select “shared link” from the drop down menu. This folder is now visible in the menu Shared.
• Then you can assign more rights to specific users. Select the Shared folder, click right and select “Add User”.

You will also share files if you save these in a Group or Project folder.
