Support / Status / Walk-in sessions

If you have questions about the Peregrine system or encounter problems, you can send an email to the HPC support email address: hpc@rug.nl.

For hands-on help, you can come to one of the walk-in sessions (see below).

The current status (regarding issues and scheduled maintenance) of the Peregrine cluster can be found at the HPC Status Page: https://status.hpc.rug.nl.

We are periodically organizing walk-in sessions where, if you have an issue running your jobs on Peregrine, you can bring your laptop and sit down with someone from our HPC Team to work it out on the spot. You can also stop by if you want advice on how to set up your jobs.

Location

The walk-in sessions can be joined online using Google meet. It is also possible to come to our office. Please let us know if you would prefer that.

Timetable:

Virtual walk-in sessions will be held every Wednesday, from 10:00 - 11:00. By clicking on this link, you will be lead to our team's calendar page where you can book a half hour appointment with someone from the HPC team, to discuss and solve your issue.

All consultations will be through Google Hangouts, where it is possible to share your screen / a window. The link to the conference will be available each Wednesday morning shortly before the start of the consultation hour.

Once you've booked an appointment slot, it will show up as a regular event in your calendar. In case you cannot make it to the appointment, or you wish to cancel your booking for any reason, please do so as soon as possible, to free up the slot for somebody else. You can do this by declining the event in your calendar and then deleting the event.

Obviously, we are still getting used to this way of working ourselves, so we apologize for any issue that will undoubtedly arise.
