1. Accounts

After connecting to dfh.usor.nl a list with connected institutions will be shown. If you are connected to the UG as a member of staff or a student, please select the Unversity of Groningen in that list.

If you are a member of staff from institutions connected to SURFconext, you can choose their institutions.

We can also create VRE accounts for users not in these domains. These users need to take an extra step and create an EduID from SURFconext. How to create an EduID is described in the next alinea.

Proceed to Logging in to the VRE

VRW users outside of the UG, UMCG or institutions connected to SURFconext can be added to a VRW. These VRW users can log in via an EduID. You can use EduID to login to several services connected to SURFconext like the VRW.

To create an account go to https://eduid.nl/ and request an eduID. Make sure to use the same email address as is known for your participation in the VRW.

N.B It is a good idea to change the authentication method. The default authentication method is by email. If you set the authentication method to a password, logging in to the VRW is quicker.
