====== 1. Accounts ======

  * Staff or students from the University of Groningen can use their P-or student number and corresponding password to log in. 
  * Staff from UMCG can use their OneGini account.
  * Staff from institutions connected to SURFconext can log in via the regular SURFconext portal 
  * VRW users not in these domains can log in with an EduID from SURFconext. How to create an EduID is described in the next alinea.
    
    
==== EduID ====
VRW users outside of the UG, UMCG or institutions connected to SURFconext can be added to a VRW. These VRW users can log in via an EduID. You can use EduID to login to several services connected to SURFconext like the VRW. 

To create an account go to [[https://eduid.nl/]] and request an eduID. Make sure to use the same email address as is known for your participation in the VRW.

**N.B** It is a good idea to change the authentication method. The default authentication method is by email. If you set the authentication method to a password, logging in to the VRW is quicker.
