About the RDMS

The proper management of research data is getting more important. On the one hand, there is the ambition of the UG and research funders to adhere to the different facets of the Open science framework and the FAIR data principles. On the other hand, there are also concerns about the rules and regulations that the GDPR brings, and there are now more ways to reuse data sets if that dataset can be found and may be reused.

The current storage solutions (X/Y drive, Unishare, Google Drive, NAS) do not sufficiently meet the current data management systems standards.

With the RDMS we aim to fulfill the requirements that modern data management brings.
